I know that we have been so quite lately in noZom and I want to make sure that we all stand on the same ground. I’m sending this email to let you know that I’ve been actively busy with re-thinking noZom inside out and trying to laser-focus on what makes noZom very special than other communities around. I want to share this vision with you.

Here is how I define noZom

noZom - Nurturing Talents.

Nozom is a community of geeks and technology enthusiasts highly interested in developing the ecosystem and expertise needed to accelerate the country development by creating small-to-medium business in the information technology industry.

Egypt is blessed with such a fascinating generation of highly talented and energetic youth that sometimes lack the vision and courage to start a small ventures that eventually will accumulate into the global success of the country. We can’t miss such an opportunity, Nozom is here to fix that.

Nozom is all about ethics, it’s not about ruthless businesses that absorb the country’s develop-ability by draining the nation’s pockets without adding real value to the people. It is about businesses that make a difference. Only ideas that can change the country and the world are encouraged and nurtured at this community. We believe in changing the quality of life of this nation by switching the talents from technology consumption into technology production.

Nozom is seriously interested in talents that build technologies that is tailored for the local market and community, technologies that fix a broken arm rather than that offer pain killers. Technology that create jobs for other talents.

Nozom is a hub that connects the technology enthusiasts with the future-entrepreneurs to form successful ventures by seeding the grassroots with proper coaching, relations, and exposure of interesting ideas.

Vision

To help launch at least 100 ventures in every Egyptian governorates by 2030.

Mission

Is to connect successful entrepreneurs with future-entrepreneurs to transfer knowledge and expertise through a continuous developmental model that keeps the national economy fresh and always fed with well-educated entrepreneurs coming from all Egyptian governorates.
